I have forgotten the password, which I used to protect the worksheet. I tried one add-in (password.xla) to remove it, but I can’t. First it says – Opening VBA project in this file requires a component that is not currently installed. This file will be opened without VBA project. For more information, search Microsoft Office online for “VBA converters”. Then a window – Repairs to ‘Password.xla’ says – Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content. – This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features.
Please help me to unprotect the worksheet anyhow, (but with freeware utility only).

hi , i have a worksheet which have many macros and vba codes and i forget the password and it needs modification , can one tell me how to unprotect a worksheet without knowing the password, i really need to unprotect this worksheet

I will try and explain as plain and simple as i can.
I have an excel workbook with 2 tabs (Sheet1 and Sheet2 for now)
I want to password protect Sheet2 so that the contents cannot be visible without entering a password first. Eventually i will have more sheets, each with their own seperate individual password.
I understand that this must be coded into Visual Basic but all of the examples i have tried on the web haven’t worked.
I need a step by step instruction on what to put into VBA, as i think i must be doing something wrong with the modules or something – im a bit of an amateur with this.
Can anyone help? Stars and points will be awarded!!
